We
offer the I.M.M.A. legal 1:12 scale Consolidated B-24D Liberator
plans with a wingspan of 110". Our plans were derived,
unmodified, from factory drawings supplied by the U.S.A.F.
Museum in Ohio & the National Air & Space Museum
in Washington, D.C., providing exceptional detail, with
absolute authenticity. The wing sections un-plug from the
fuselage on telescoping brass tubes for ease of transport.
Construction is conventional balsa, & plywood with balsa
sheeting.
Both Instruction Manuals feature Dimensions & Aerodynamic
Particulars of the full size aircraft. "Nose Art"
& U.S.A.F. markings are shown. The 1:12 scale airplane
has a wing area of 1192. sq. in., flaps extended. The length
is 66.33". Target weight is under 13 Ibs., dry. The
wing loading is 25.07 oz.per sq. ft at target weight. Powered
with 4-O.S. .25's, 2 cycle. 6 channel R.C. incl. flaps,

For
the experienced modeler who wants a fascinating project,
we offer plans for Jim Bede's famous pusher prop airplane
the BD-5D. Jim furnished drawings & a quarter scale
prototype fiberglass fuselage to Palmer Plans to assure
scale authenticity. Jim himself built quarter scale prototypes
for testing. The tiny mid-engine aerobatic airplane has
a wing span of only 64.25" & a length of 43.5".
This long wing version has a target weight of 7 lbs., 7
oz., dry, & a wing area of 505.8 sq. in. The K.&B.
. 40 engine is enclosed in a well ventilated mid-fuselage
position behind the cockpit & is connected ( via a machined
stainless steel driveshaft mounted in miniature aircraft
bearings) to the pusher prop. Engineering details are provided
for the machine work of the drive shaft and coupling assemblies.
R.C. operation is 5 channel. Equipped with mechanical retracts,

"Flying Boxcar" C-119G with a wingspan of 109.25".
It is powered by 2-O.S.91FX's, 2 cycle engines, has a wing
area of 1447 sq, in., a length of 86.5" & a target
weight of 19 lbs. 7.85 oz. The wing loading is 30.68 oz.
per sq. ft., operation is 6 channel full house including
scale retracts (by Century Jet) & Fowler flaps. Construction
is conventional using balsa & lite ply. With removable
wing tips & detachable booms, the transportable width

The
latest addition to our 1:12 scale series of historic aircraft
is designed to respond to the request of those who love
the Herky-Bird, but find 4 engines a bit much. It is a true
scale version of the Vietnam era "AIR AMERICA"
airplane the Fairchild C-123 Provider. This aircraft has
a wingspan of 110", a wing area of 1223 sq. in., 75.75"
long, with a target weight of 14 lbs-10 oz. dry. Wing loading
is 27.56 oz. per sq. ft. @ target weight. It is powered
by 2-O.S. Max .61 ABC engines with side or rear mounted
exhaust. R.C. operation is 7 channels including flaps, retracts,
& loading ramp operation. Construction is conventional
balsa & plywood, with balsa sheeting. Wing tips are
removable outboard of the nacelles, & fuselage is in
two parts, for ease of transport to the flying field. The

For
the jet fan: We offer an I.M.M.A. legal ducted fan design,
the swept wing Grumman F9F-8 COUGAR at a 1:6 scale. The
Cougar is considered an ideal first ducted fan jet. The
design was developed using drawings, photos, & info
from the Grumman Aircraft Historical Center. These plans
for conventional balsa & plywood construction, fully
sheathed in balsa, include optional operating dive brakes,
inboard flaps, & removable or folding wings. The span
is 69", length of 83.5", & has a wing area
of 1485.71 sq. in. Target weight is 18 lbs. dry, with a
wing loading of 27.9 oz. per sq.ft. Airplane is operated
on basic 6 channels or 9 channels with options. It is powered
with an O.S. 91 VR-DF engine mounted in a B.V.M. fan unit,
with optional in-flight fuel mixture control. This model

were developed from original Grumman Aircraft Co. drawings,
USAF documentation, & photos we took of a concours restoration
completed at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, CA.
